The Daily Grind

This week has been a good one so far! Work is getting better as well as school. I have set some new goals to just live every day better than the last and enjoy every moment that I have. I got some super legit working boots for ... well... work. They are the traditional light brown suede. I look a lot more masculine now. No one will mess with me wearing those boots. As you can tell, boots gave me confidence - needed confidence at that. With my new position as Productions Manager I have to load up the semi trucks with pallets of salt. Today, as it so happened, I would have to load up the most sketch trailers ever. Such trailers should not be street legal. They were old, rickety, and made out of wood with no cover but a tarp. Now that you have a good visual of that, imagine me with a forklift driving on it. Yes, I feared for my life. Not often do these trailers come but today there were two! Yay... not. It was a great learning experience. I don't think that the truck drivers were very enthusiastic about my first performance. What can you do... No one died so it was successful in my eyes.

Not much to report on behalf of school. I am way ahead on all my assignments. Super awesome. That means that I just get to relax and actually enjoy the school without stress. In my Communications class we read about the influence of Attitude. It is amazing to see the positive influences that can occur if we can maintain a optimistic and upbeat attitude. Too many people become victims to life's circumstances and allow the trials of life to crush their high spirits. Life isn't so much about what happens to you but what attitude you have. It isn't about the circumstances but the mindset that you perceive those circumstances with. Enjoy life. Don't waste time moping about complaining or wishing for something better. If you want it. Go get it! Where there is a will, there is a way right? Why not. Don't take the easy but painful alternative of settling for mediocrity and being complacent with the common troubles in life wishing for something better to come your way. That's why this fall I decided that I am going to make it the best Fall season EVER! I have made a list of everything that I want to do from going to the zoo, making hobo dinners, to  finding my own pumpkin at a pumpkin patch! I want to live my life LIVING not going through the motions! It's time that I act and not be acted upon! Ya dig? Do it! You won't regret it. Don't have any fun friends? Meet some!

As of Lately...

So because I am poor and in the process of making myself a living, I don't have internet at home, which would explain why I haven't written a blog as of recently. Everything that I do as far as internet goes at home is done on my phone. Yay for my Android 3G. You may be asking... "oh what kind?" It is called the Huawei Mercury. This is where I receive some pretty confused looks. Most people can't decide whether I am trying to be funny or am just dumb. I have Cricket. Yes, I know... How could I? "They are horrible!" I object! No plans, no nada, just a great phone and I get excellent service! I pay nothing for everything really. So I recommend Cricket to all of you. Anyways, back to the internet. I have become known as the Wi-Fi thief now because of my home internet hopping. What is a poor man to do? Fortunately, I have great friends and family that will tolerate it.

School is going by fantastically as I am meeting many new friends and am totally hitting the books like a scholastic wizard passing quiz after quiz with Awesome A's. I just got 99/100 on my Accounting Exam. Suddenly I like that class a lot more. Learning is super fun when you are in the right environment. Right now I am working with CP Industries. It is a business that manufactures salt, soap, and cleaner. So you're probably wondering what I do there. I work as the productions manager. Oh yes, and the beloved assembly line. Did you ever think the day would come when your co-worker would be a dumb robot? I didn't but now it has happened to me. Needless to say, we don't get along well. In fact, we argue quite often. The other day as I was filling a box full of salt, the machine dumped it so quick that a little ice melt rock pebble bounced into my eye. I was so frustrated that I punched the machine in it's metal skull, only to be left in more pain! Let us analyze this. The one function of ice melt is to absorb moister like a sponge. Now, back to my eye which is turning into a dry sponge. I went to our emergency eye flusher to flush it out... it didn't work. Frantically, I went to the "backup" eye flusher. FAILURE. I had to use nasty sink water to wash my eye out. For the rest of the day my blood shot eye gave others the impression that I had been smoking pot. On the brightside of work, I love riding the forklifts and am becoming quite the pro as well.

Life is good. I have learned that if I want to live a good life soon I will have to sacrifice. Sacrifice is a good word. It is what refines our priorities so that we can be on the best possible track. In no way to me does it mean something horrible. It may not always be easy but it should always be worth it. It doesn't mean work like a hog and don't play. I value the time that I have, for that I may have to sacrifice some leisure to ensure long lasting joy. However, along the way I will make everyday better than the last and soak up what is thrown at me with a positive attitude. I think that this will be the time when I have the most fun even though I sacrificed the most. It's possible.

Take it easy.

Introduction

Welcome fans to my new blog. This should be an enjoyable experience for all and if not.. don't read. I decided to take time to write a blog because of the numerous demands from my followers and fans. I hold you all to such high esteem and hope the best as we embark on this journey to discover ourselves and laugh about the day to day nonsense.
Lets start this off with discussing some important matters. I was born in Montana... Yes that's right. I'm one of few Utahns that was not born in Utah... I take pride in that. I have an amazing family that has been my refuge from stress and hardship. They are one of a kind. I am a very active as a Latter Day Saint and in outdoors. I love to be moving around whether it be sports, a hike, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, longboarding, free lining... you get the jist. I am currently enrolled at LDSBC and am loving it. I recommend it to all!
Now just to keep it short and not to ruin my first blog,  I shall throw in a good thought for everyone to ponder and enjoy. In life we are all encountered by problems and it is what we do with these problems that can affect our character and mold us into the person that we will eventually become. A positive attitude can go a long way as well as a good humor. I am currently reading a book called As a Man Thinketh. I recommend it. In it, it states that "They themselves are makers of themselves". So true. Will we allow our circumstances to get the best of us and scar our good character or will we rise to the challenge and conquer our undesired circumstances to become the heroes that we all imagine becoming. In all reality the choice is ours. If we are diligent, consistent and brave, there is no stopping becoming the person that we want to become. As Ralph Waldo Emmerson stated "The characteristic of genuine heroism is its persistency. All men have wandering impulses, fits and starts of generosity. But when you have resolved to be great, abide by yourself, and do not weakly try to reconcile yourself with the world. The heroic cannot be the common, nor the common the heroic." So go out there and become the super hero that you always imagined yourself being when you were a child. Unlock your potential and don't sell yourself short of what you can become. Remember to be persistent. Keep your eye on the prize. Control yourself and rather than be acted upon by your circumstances. Act on them! You'll be surprised at how much you are really capable of.

    Have a good one fans!
